Overview:
We seek an experienced Construction/Installation Project Manager to plan and oversee various SCM projects from concept to commissioning. The Project Manager we are looking for will have previous experience in building construction, and complex material handling solutions, and be knowledgeable of the required regulations and permits. The ideal applicant will be highly organized, with the ability to plan and multitask to meet deadlines and keep projects on budget

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Oversee construction/Installation projects from beginning to end.
  • Create, manage the budget and estimate costs.
  • Ensure supplies and equipment are ordered and delivered according to schedule.
  • Prepare reports regarding job status.
  • Resolve any conflicts that may arise in the field.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and building codes.
  • Collaborate with subcontractors, engineers, architects and key team members of the project team.
  • Ensure the appropriate permits and licenses from authorities for construction sites are pulled by GC’s and subcontractors as required.
  • Plan construction/installation activities around operations in functional buildings.
  • Ensure all deadlines are met.
  • Allocate and manage resources to ensure that they are available when they are needed throughout the construction projects.

Additional Primary Responsibilities:
  • Keep all stakeholders aware of the progress on projects and prepare progress reports regularly.
  • Handle any environmental or local community issues that may come up during a project.
  • Conduct site checks to monitor progress and quality standards.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field + 3+ years of relevant experience in real estate and construction.
  • Ability to Travel: 50%
  • Previous work experience managing budgets for construction management projects or similar role.
  • Excellent knowledge of construction materials and equipment.
  • Previous experience in a leadership role with strong and proven leadership skills.
  • Vast knowledge of MS Office Suite.
  • Familiar with construction and project management software programs such as Procore and Blubeam.
  • Excellent knowledge of relevant rules and regulations pertaining to state and local municipality building codes.
  • Conflict resolution and conflict management experience.
  • Excellent time management.
  • Excellent communication skills and interpersonal abilities, including negotiation skills.

  • Physical demands with activity or condition may include walking, bending, reaching, standing, squatting, and stooping.
  • Physical demands with activity or condition for a considerable amount of time may include driving throughout the day with segments up to 2 hours.
  • May require lifting/lowering, pushing, carrying, or pulling up to 48lbs.
